I am just a teeny tiny bit afraid that all the crazies might be right and Saturday might be the end of the world and I won’t get to do the following:
- go to San Diego in a few weeks and run this half marathon I’ve been training for
- see the next season of Parks and Rec
- get another hair cut (I’m trying to schedule one for Saturday as we speak)

WatchFirst of all, if you haven’t read Lars Anderson’s SI story about the athletes in the Tuscaloosa tornado, do so now.
Secondly, if I’ve learned anything from the stories of survivors of the tornado, it is to always cover myself with a mattress in my safe place. So many people have said that’s the only thing that saved their lives. This video is pretty incredible as well.
