Today I’m thankful for more warm weather, wearing a skirt with no tights!, half the department out of the office, a good run at the always lovely Railroad Park, finally writing some thank you notes, the delicious shrimp and grits Blake made for dinner, the fact that Blake cam actually cook since I can’t, and chocolate pie sent straight from heaven.

Today I am thankful for MacDos for helping me avoid too bad of a hangover, naps alllll day, sore muscles, downloading a million apps while relaxing in the bed, Blake making pizza, videos of the dog and an early bedtime.

Today I am thankful for rocking my first long training run (4 miles,) beautiful 70 degree days in January, good friends visiting from Atlanta, a trip to the motherland (Tuscaloosa,) margaritas and cheese dip with Sister!, Bama basketball wins - 1st place in the SEC, and a good night at the bars.

Today I am thankful fir dinner dates and Johnny Rays barbecue, super casual Friday at work, finding a $50 purse I had been lusting after for 75% off, a clean bedroom, and going to bed at 10:30 pm.

Today I’m thankful for meeting other team members, fun work events, super casual Friday emails, margaritas and chips, leaving work right at 5:02, donations from strangers, 30 Rock, and soft trapeze tees.

Today I am thankful for getting started on my TNT fundraising (can NOT procrastinate on this,) soft comfy sweaters, getting to leave work early, catching up on friends with the phone, highlighter yellow running tees, runs on the dreadmill to get ready for Saturday, good emails and Baked Lays for dinner.

Today I am thankful for making a decision to something HUGE in 2011, cheap and delicious Mexican food, my mom and sister for being the best company to enjoy said Mexican food with, a new soft circle scarf, a stretchy jacket for my upcoming 6:30 am training runs on Saturdays, Alabama basketball beating Auburn in their shiny new stadium, naps on the couch, and a night in watching a movie with Blake.
Lesson I learned today
Don’t ever pay full price for anything at Old Navy. Better yet, don’t even pay the ridiculously discounted prices in their weekly sales (ex. $14.50 for a $34.50 sweater.) It will just make you angry when you go there two weeks later and see those sweaters on clearance for $8.99 plus an extra 40 or 50% off. Then you will buy more of those sweaters for $5 each.
It will be made better...
Looking through my Team In Training information and trying not to get overwhelmed.
Goals for today: make a list of potential donors, draft my fundraising letter, get the paper, dye my hair, and finish all my laundry. Oh, and cheer on the Steelers!

Team In Training
So, I can cross “go to a Team In Training info meeting” off my list of 111 in 2011.
I can now add train for and run the San Diego Rock N Roll half marathon and raise almost $3,000 for the Leukimia and Lymphoma Society to the list.
