I will definitely watch this ish now. Because I live and die for Aaron Sorkin and will watch anything he is involved in. Blake and I have been watching West Wing episodes all week. We started at the beginning and are gonna work our whole way through. So much love.
I was a little running machine in my dream.
Then I woke up and remembered I haven’t run in like 2 and a half weeks.
Maybe it’s a sign.
Good question! We were not friends, and actually the first time we met Brooke had already been instructed to hate me. The bf and I met right at the beginning of my freshman year of college at a sorority/fraternity swap. He then began dating this girl (who I, in my all-knowing cleverness, had already told him was an evil witch) who was from my hometown and in another sorority. She obviously hated me, as all girls hate their boyfriend’s girl friends. (To be fair, since we ended up dating she might have had a point.) Anyway, Brooke met her first since her brother was dating her and all, and the girl had warned Brooke that I must be her sworn enemy. Blake brought Brooke and not his girlfriend to a fraternity party that I was at with my friends and we all hung out all night. I was oblivious to the fact that we weren’t supposed to get along. (Am I getting this right, Brooke?) Anyway, Blake and the girlfriend broke up about two years later but me and him had remained friends. By this point I had met Brooke several times, and once the evil ex was out of the way we were free to be buds. And that is the (not so entertaining) story of Brooke and I becoming besties!
This sincerely made my day. Sometimes I forget I have my ask feature on and therefore might not notice for a while that I have a message. I had a bit of a frustrating morning, so this compliment cheered me right up! Also, you need to be following this girl because she looks AMAZING and is such a healthy inspiration!
Anyone else who wants to ask me a question that I’ll hopefully notice more often now, hit me up here.
Do you have a way I can contact you? I didn’t see an email or ask feature or anything on your tumblr, but after seeing all of your camp posts I wanted to shoot you an email! Can you leave it in my ask box or email me if I promise I’m not an internet stalker?
Somehow that came out sounding stalker-esque. Oh, well.
For young adults, the prospects in the workplace, even for the college-educated, have rarely been so bleak. Apart from the 14 percent who are unemployed and seeking work, as Scott Nicholson is, 23 percent are not even seeking a job, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The total, 37 percent, is the highest in more than three decades and a rate reminiscent of the 1930s.
The college-educated among these young adults are better off. But nearly 17 percent are either unemployed or not seeking work, a record level (although some are in graduate school). The unemployment rate for college-educated young adults, 5.5 percent, is nearly double what it was on the eve of the Great Recession, in 2007, and the highest level — by almost two percentage points — since the bureau started to keep records in 1994 for those with at least four years of college.
This was an uplifting read as I searched for jobs online today.
this should be the headline in every paper in america today. via.
Unlike people with anorexia or bulimia, picky eaters don’t seem to make food choices based on calorie content. They aren’t necessarily skinny or obsessed with looking a certain way. Researchers don’t know yet what drives the behavior, but they say textures and smell can account for a picky eater’s limited diet. Some will only eat foods with one consistent texture or one taste, leading some medical experts to speculate that picky eaters have some obsessive-compulsive tendencies. Doctors worry that over the long term such eating habits could lead to nutritional deficiencies linked to health concerns, including bone and heart problems.
Picky eaters tend to gravitate to certain foods, including blander products that are often white or pale colored, like plain pasta or cheese pizza. For reasons that aren’t clear, almost all adult picky eaters like French fries and often chicken fingers, health experts say.” —No Age Limit on Picky Eating - WSJ.com
